Lucy Letby is the victim of “one of the major injustices of modern times,” it has been claimed, after an international panel of experts found no evidence she had murdered or harmed any of the babies she was convicted of attacking.

The panel concluded that the 17 newborns suffered a catalogue of “bad medical care” or deteriorated as a result natural causes at the Countess of Chester hospital in north-west England.
