Coroner says schools and local authority had no reason to suspect two teenagers were plotting to kill her

The teenager Brianna Ghey was unlawfully killed by her classmate and her friend but their schools or local authority could not have foreseen her murder, a coroner has ruled.

Brianna, 16, was stabbed with a hunting knife 28 times in her head, neck, chest and back after being lured to Linear Park in Culcheth, a village near Warrington, Cheshire, on the afternoon of 11 February last year.
