Greater Manchester police launch inquiry after discovery in South Radford Street on Monday

An eight-year-old girl and a woman have been found dead at a home in Salford, Greater Manchester police said.

Officers were called following reports of a concern for welfare at the property in South Radford Street shortly after 10.30am on Monday, police said. Both the child and the woman, 40, were found dead at the scene after assistance from North West ambulance service and Greater Manchester fire and rescue service.
