Normal People and Aftersun actor to star alongside Denzel Washington in sequel to Ridley Scott blockbuster

The Irish actor Paul Mescal has revealed he was cast in Gladiator II after a 30-minute Zoom call.

Mescal, 28, made the comments on the Graham Norton Show, to be broadcast on Friday on BBC One.
