The UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon has said its bases in the country have come under “deliberate” Israeli fire, injuring two peacekeepers and damaging UN infrastructure.

Israel has been carrying out repeated ground incursions across the border into Lebanon in its war with Hezbollah. Its relations with the UN have gone from very bad to worse against a backdrop of devastating civilian casualties in Gaza and a rising toll in Lebanon.
