Poland has a rich and at times tragic history, and a unique culture. It is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and is strong member of NATO having exceeded its 2% of GDP in defense spending. Poland has long been skeptical of EU policies, especially on immigration yet has opened its arms to 1.4 million Ukrainian refugees the most of any country in Europe.
